Housing Options Officer

Our Local Authority client based in The East Midlands are urgently looking to take on a homelessness officer to join their housing options service.
The role is full-time 37 hours per week. However it is hybrid and offering 2 days in the office and 3 from home.
Your day to day duties will include:
• Interviewing and advising homeless people in relation to all available housing opportunities
• Providing advice regarding their rights and responsibilities
• Give appropriate assistance to such customers in accordance with the Council's statutory duties under the Housing Act 1996 Section 190 and Section 192
• Refer homeless people to suitable available housing options speedily and efficiently
• Providing long term solutions and up keeping customer relations
Essential Skills
• Previous Housing Options Experience
• Knowledge of the Housing Act
• Customer Focused
• Experience working with the Locata System
